I’ve been a fan of Diane Husar’s writing for years, ever since following her blog, and her newest book absolutely lives up to everything I’ve come to love about her work.

A Mighty Village is an uplifting, honest, and deeply heartfelt read. Through a collection of short, meaningful stories, Diane shares her family’s journey with a level of vulnerability and warmth that truly draws you in. Each chapter is perfectly paced--easy to read, yet impactful, and filled with moments of hope, resilience, and love.

What I appreciate most is how relatable and genuine her writing feels. You don’t just read her stories - you feel them. It’s the kind of book you can pick up for a few minutes or get completely lost in, and either way, you walk away feeling inspired.

A beautiful and encouraging read that I would highly recommend.

This is an inspiring and beautifully written book that captures a mother’s unconditional love for her child with Down syndrome.

It is an easy and engaging read, while also delivering a powerful message about choosing to see the good in every person and every situation.

The story gently encourages readers to embrace positivity, resilience, and compassion, leaving a lasting impression on the heart.

I truly can not love this book more!

I ended this beautiful book with the inspiration that we should all live like Luke. It’s a lovely and well written book where you feel the author is sitting right with you telling you her story.

This book will mean so much to those families that have a child with Down syndrome. Though truly this isn’t a book about Down syndrome or for people who have a loved one with Down Syndrome--it’s about a mothering journey, a family journey, and it truly is all about truth and love. So very much can be learned from this book.

A very easy read with much packed into each subject. Be sure to read between the lines.

I look forward to your third book Diane.

This memoir is about a unique journey set on the remote island of Yap in a little known area of the south Pacific called Micronesia. Though Diane Callaghan Husar arrived on the island to walk through this adventure with her husband, their union would not survive. Over the course of the many months spent living there, she came to better understand who she was, what she most desired, and where she wanted to be as she moved forward in her life.

This challenging experience led her to discover four big life lessons:

    1) Stop forcing it. If it’s meant to happen, it will happen.
    2) Say yes far more than you say no.
    3) Draw your line in the sand, and then honor it.
    4) Believe deeply that something better awaits you.

You are invited to join in on her adventure, and perhaps you too will learn something very important about your own life’s journey.

Missionaries, Mercenaries, and Misfits took me on an adventure I didn't even know I needed. While reading Diane's memoir, I was immersed in the  third-world culture of the Yapese people through events and practices, tropical bugs, and betel nuts. Anyone who has struggled to make a difficult life choice will relate to her personal story of the girl who traveled to the other side of the globe in order to find her true self and her way back home.

I found it so interesting to learn about life on the remote Pacific Island of Yap.  The culture and traditions of the native people and the author’s experiences and adventures while on the island were fascinating.

The life lessons that Diane learned during her time on the island are lessons that all of us can apply to our own lives, wherever our journey takes us.

    Calling all adventurers!

This beautifully written, immersive journey through Micronesia captivates with vivid descriptions and heartfelt personal growth. Through the author’s eyes, we explore a fascinating culture, embrace the challenges of independence, and discover that sometimes, true happiness lies closer than we think.

A compelling, insightful read that inspires both wanderlust and a deeper appreciation for home.
